Digital capture and validation of meter readings

As project lead, software architect and web/backend developer, I implemented a platform for messtex through which end customers could digitally submit water and gas meter readings for validation.
messtex approached me with the idea of having end customers record water and gas meter readings digitally. After agreeing requirements, I set up the server and an initial website design and continued developing the features in close coordination with the client.
A custom WordPress plugin connected user, meter and backend features to MongoDB. The web interface enabled entry of meter readings. Plausibility checks validated the values before further processing.
I implemented the graphic designer's supplied design for the website and email templates. Component architecture, data validation, interfaces and quality assurance were my responsibility.
Result: Implemented digital meter reading capture with plausibility checks and integrated user, meter and data management.
