Backend development with Java/Spring Boot, NestJS and identity verification

As project lead, software architect and backend developer, I was responsible for backend extensions using Java/Spring Boot and NestJS and for integrating external identity verification into a web platform.
Business workflows were implemented in services and REST interfaces. PostgreSQL database changes were delivered as versioned Liquibase migrations. Unit and integration tests and code reviews accompanied modernisation.
An additional backend with NestJS and TypeScript implemented business features in defined modules and REST interfaces. Validation, role-based access controls and OpenAPI documentation complemented implementation.
External identity verification was integrated into a web platform. A status model connected verification to approval processes. Validated webhooks received the provider's responses. Tests for duplicate and delayed responses and documented deletion procedures supported operations.
Result: Modernised a Java/Spring Boot service, implemented a NestJS module and integrated external identity verification with a status model and validated webhooks.
