Asynchronous processing: RabbitMQ with .NET and SQS/Lambda with Kotlin
MY ROLEProject lead, software architect and backend developer
As project lead, software architect and backend developer, I designed and implemented asynchronous integrations using RabbitMQ and .NET, plus additional task processing with Amazon SQS, AWS Lambda and Kotlin.
Traceable event storage, idempotent processing and controlled retries limited the impact of failures and duplicate message delivery.
An additional Kotlin service on AWS used AWS Lambda to process tasks received through Amazon SQS. Service-specific IAM roles restricted permissions. A dead-letter queue, integration tests, Terraform deployment and CloudWatch supported operations and troubleshooting.
Result: Implemented asynchronous processing with RabbitMQ/.NET and SQS/Lambda/Kotlin, and tested duplicate handling, retries and failure cases.
