As project lead, developer and trainer, I temporarily took over leadership of an internal development team's project work and combined implementation of two app designs with practical training.
The client needed support with organising internal development work and improving code quality. I took responsibility for daily coordination of completed and upcoming tasks and supported the team with technical questions and architecture decisions.
Two app designs were implemented and also used as practical material for onboarding and further training. I familiarised myself with the existing code structure, reviewed the internal developers' code and taught YAGNI, KISS and DRY through the shared project work.
Regular reviews and pair programming combined my own implementation work with knowledge transfer. Bitbucket, TestFlight, AR Foundation and Unity CloudBuild with Fastlane supported development and delivery workflows.
Result: Implemented two app designs and trained the internal development team in architecture, collaboration and development practices alongside the work.
