Wipak · Sales web apps

As project lead, software architect, full-stack developer and trainer, I was responsible for developing a sales application for packaging comparisons for Wipak and later maintaining and stabilising the WCONTRIBUTE web app.

Wipak wanted to support sales of environmentally friendly packaging materials with transparent comparisons. The sales app was to compare packaging from food and medical product manufacturers and visualise the corresponding CO2 footprint. It was intended for use across different devices.

Together with the client, I developed the concept and requirements and implementation specifications. An early prototype enabled coordination with the internal design department. Building on this, I regularly delivered working interim versions for acceptance. I implemented the frontend, backend, database management and server configuration. Comparison results could be emailed directly from the application.

Handover included documentation and live employee training. In the later project phase in 2025, I took over maintenance and stabilisation of the WCONTRIBUTE sales web app. Server monitoring, the technical response to service incidents and lasting fixes for recurring authentication and login problems complemented development work.

Result: Developed a sales web app with graphical packaging and CO2 comparisons, and subsequently stabilised operations and authentication.
