Privacy policy for TokenLedger

macOS app · Last updated: October 2026

The app collects no data. TokenLedger processes everything locally on your Mac.

  • The app does not collect, store or transmit any personal data to ProjectMakers.
  • There is no user account, no ProjectMakers server, no analytics or advertising services and no telemetry.
  • API keys you enter are stored only in the macOS keychain on your Mac.
  • Network requests go only to the AI services you set up yourself: OpenRouter, xAI, OpenAI, Anthropic and Z.AI. The app sends your key only to that service to retrieve costs, credit, quotas and tokens. The provider's privacy policy applies to these requests.
  • If you grant access to your home folder, the app only reads local Claude Code and Codex data: the logs to count tokens and limits, and the plan of your subscription. It does not store or send sign-in data. It does not send the contents of these files anywhere (macOS sandbox, read-only access).
  • Only if you set up Claude Code limits in the assistant does the app write to the ~/.claude folder. It adds the status line command to settings.json and saves a backup of that file first.
  • Subscriptions, budget, exchange rate and display options are stored by macOS in the app preferences on your device.
  • Links to provider dashboards and the help links in the menu only open your browser.

Purchase and billing are handled by the Mac App Store. Apple's privacy policy applies.
