Not a pitch deck, but a personal beginning

BodySeasons did not start with a market analysis. The first impulse was much simpler: to support my wife better through a long and personal season of life. A private diary and many questions about cycles, everyday life, and understanding one’s body gradually became an app designed to give women room for their own observations.

BodySeasons is now available on the Apple App Store and Google Play. To us, this is not an interchangeable product launch. It is the moment when a project that began close to our own lives becomes available to other people.

To explore the app directly, visit BodySeasons on the web or download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Why we fund the BodySeasons cycle app ourselves

ProjectMakers develops BodySeasons as its own product and funds the work without investor pressure. That does not mean everything is easy. It means we can decide the important questions ourselves: which features genuinely need time, what remains free, and where growth must never take priority over care, clarity, or privacy.

The core app should remain accessible. Premium features help support continued development. What is explicitly not part of the model is advertising, selling personal data, or turning intimate body data into a commodity.

In-house where it matters for the product

Core development and operations stay with ProjectMakers. BodySeasons uses its own, self-managed technical foundation instead of outsourcing the heart of the product to a generic external platform. External partners have a place where they are needed, but never as a substitute for taking responsibility for the product.

For an app where people may record mood, sleep, symptoms, or personal notes, infrastructure is not an invisible detail. It shapes how understandable data paths are, how quickly issues can be investigated, and how consistently safeguards can be implemented.

That is why we operate the core services on self-managed technology and keep product development, operations, and security closely connected. The app does not communicate with an advertising network. Our aim is data minimisation: we store only what the selected features genuinely need, and we do not pass individual health or cycle data to cooperation partners.

Research needs a translation into everyday life

Medical context is not the claim of one developer. BodySeasons works with a curated knowledge base of specialist sources and guidelines. The documented project status includes 298 reviewed sources, including 96 studies and meta-analyses with documented samples. Those figures are not a promise of effectiveness. They describe a systematic process of reviewing, weighting, and carefully translating sources into understandable everyday guidance.

The technical task is to bring research, personal observations, and a practical calendar together without turning that into a judgement about a person. A pattern can be a reason to look more closely or to note a question for a conversation with a qualified professional. It is not a diagnosis.

What we promise with this launch, and what we do not

We do not promise perfect self-optimisation or a medical answer for every question. BodySeasons is a tool for personal documentation, self-understanding, and a calmer view of one’s own course. For symptoms, uncertainty, or urgent help, medical professionals and real-world support are the right path.

What we do promise is continued responsibility for the whole: the software, the infrastructure, the source work, and the decisions behind a product that began for Cindy and is now being thoughtfully extended to many other women.
